Unless otherwise advised, only Ahmed Technologies Ltd will have access to the information you submit. Your details will not be passed or sold to other companies for marketing or mailing purposes.

1. What we collect

  • Account and billing details. When you buy a plan we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing address and details of the websites you want us to host. We need these to set up your account, provide the services and bill you correctly.
  • Contact form submissions. If you send us a message through our contact form or by email, we use that information only to respond to your enquiry. You will not receive unsolicited marketing because you contacted us.
  • Migration details. If you ask us to migrate a website, you may give us login details for your current host, WordPress admin, FTP or control panel. See section 3 for how we handle these.
  • Website usage. Basic technical information such as pages visited and browser type, collected through cookies as described in section 5.

2. Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and are stored by Stripe, not by us. We only see the last four digits of your card, the card type and expiry, so we can show you which card is on file. Stripe’s own privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

3. Migration credentials

When you submit a migration request, the login details you provide are used only to move your website to our platform. Access is limited to the people doing the migration work. We recommend you change these passwords once your migration is complete, and we may remove stored credentials after the migration is finished.

4. Emails we send

We send transactional emails about your account: order confirmations, invoices, renewal notices, password resets and service notifications. These are part of providing the services and you will receive them while you hold a plan. We may occasionally tell you about changes or improvements to PrestoWP. If you would rather not receive those updates, use the unsubscribe link in the email or contact us at [email protected].

5. Cookies

We use cookies to give you the best experience on our website. Some cookies are necessary for the site to work at all, such as the ones that keep you logged in to your account and remember what is in your cart. If you do not change your browser settings, we will assume you are happy to receive cookies on our website.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are visited and how visitors got here, so we can improve it. Google Analytics collects this information in aggregate using cookies and it cannot be used to identify who you are. You can opt out at any time with Google’s browser opt-out add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.

We also advertise PrestoWP on Google. When you arrive at our site from one of our ads, a Google Ads cookie lets us see that the ad led to an enquiry or a purchase, so we can tell whether the advertising is worth running. This measurement is aggregate and does not identify you to us. You can manage the ads cookies in your browser or through Google’s My Ad Centre.

To learn more about cookies and how to manage them, visit AboutCookies.org.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers we use to run PrestoWP, and only as far as needed to provide the services:

  • Stripe, for payment processing.
  • WP Engine, the infrastructure platform your websites and our website run on.
  • Amazon Web Services, which delivers our emails.
  • Google, for website analytics and advertising measurement.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

7. How long we keep information and how we protect it

We keep your account and billing records while you hold a plan and afterwards for as long as New Zealand tax and record-keeping law requires. Information is stored on secure, access-controlled systems and transmitted over encrypted connections.

8. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email [email protected] and we will respond promptly. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page. If we make a significant change, we will let account holders know by email.

This policy was last updated on 28 July 2026.
